This is Where We Stand: A Meditation on Robust Hope
Readings: Job 38:1-7 and Mark 16:1-8
Does hope really spring eternal? In our current political and socioeconomic climate, it certainly seems to be a scarce commodity! Yet one could certainly argue that hope is central to our faith, and we are told that faith itself is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). In my sermon, “This is Where We Stand: A Meditation on Robust Hope,” I will invite us to explore hope as our birthright, and robust hope as an affirmation of a kind of hope that transcends our individual wants and needs, thereby (re)orienting us to our Creator’s will and grace. Please join us!
